“I have done many things in the world; sat with some who are considered the greatest teachers of spirituality and human empowerment; I have traveled near and far with prestigious musicians, conducted great bands and directed one of the greatest choirs of an era… I have written many great songs that are sung throughout the world, raised great children who have given birth to beautiful children; I have done some pretty cool things and on top of all that, I still get to sing songs about Love to folks who will listen and perhaps be inspired to leave our world better than we found it. I love my life.”

Oh Let Me Sing in a Wholly Holy Way!

Rickie discovers the world on her own terms and brings incredibly talented musicians and singers who are brave enough to leap with her into a Devotional Zone of Joy.

The B-hood was born in March 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic protocols that stressed isolation. Rickie and her Devotional Band and Singers chose to not isolate but to gather and deliver joyful songs of praise and share their stories, too. They showed the healing power in gathering to sing Devotional Music by live-streaming their weekly programs which kept the spirits high for thousands of people. The B-hood is still alive and buzzing with stories, songs and prayers. People from all walks of life are welcome to Big Blue – the place where the KUUMBA/B-hood Sunday Devotionals and Wednesday evening Live Bible Parties usually happen on a weekly basis.
